Summary:

- kennel 106  - young male, 1.5 years old, 61-62 cm, in the ecarisaj since the beginning of this month, he arrived with an ingrown wire, but luckily his wound is already healing well and he does not seem to be affected so it looks like the damage was just on the surface and not very deep. He is very friendly and dynamic, very interested in people and in food, and he also seems to be very nice to his neighbours as well and would like to play through the fence. He enjoys petting and cuddling, he surely lived with people around him. He is very handsome, he has beautiful fur, black at the ends and light gray/yellow at the roots

- Veteran Anouk - kennel 105 - this ex mommy is such a sweetie and so beautiful, so sad that she is still in the ecarisaj after 4 long years. She is medium size, probably around 50 cm, born 06.2016, and she is not aggressive in any way. She is shy and she does not really trust people, but she can be touched and petted very nicely. She has a gentle personality and she would very much need a family.

- kennel 110 - She is a dog very hard not to fall in love with, regardless of whether you like German Shepherds or not. Fresh in the ecarisaj, since the beginning of the month, 2 years old, about 59 cm shoulder height, a beauty with the most lovely personality. She is very people oriented, affectionate and sweet, she has definitely had a family and needs another one right away. I really hope she will not spend a lot of time in the ecarisaj, she is very adoptable. She's not very interested in food, she cares about people's attention and she is sad about her current whereabouts.

- Pomelo - kennel 107 - he is a funny crazy boy, looking like a little lion, medium size (53-55 cm), very desperate for attention and very eager to play. He's a high energy dog, being locked up in here is definitely very bad for his needs. He does play with his neighbours through the fence, but he would surely enjoy some closer interaction instead. He likes to get petted but it is hard for him to stay still for too long, he is trying really hard to show how much he wants to get out of there. A dynamic active family who adopts hime, would earn a friend for life and a good partner for outdoor activities. I will confirm his estimated age and get back with the information.

- Veteran Shiro, kennel 135 - Shiro has been in the ecarisaj since 2019, he is estimated to be born 10.2017, medium size about 53 cm, very quiet and quite shy but not aggressive at all. He can be petted nicely. Similar to Anouk, he is a gentle sweet dog, who has been in the ecarisaj too long, he just needs his chance and he would surely prove he has earned the vote of confidence. - Yodi - kennel 152 (ex quarantine 1) - this girl is such a cutie, she is a bit shy but she would blossom immediately in a friendlier environment, she actually enjoys petting but she is not convinced that she is safe and can relax just yet. She is a calm quiet dog, absolutely lovely and in need of loving people with a bit of patience. She would make them fall in love with her instantly. In this kennel she can actually move around a bit, which is good, but she does not like the cold I think she may be around 45-50 cm max., I underestimated her height in the quarantine. She is estimated to be born 11.2019.

- The "older" puppies gang in kennel 2 - heartbreaking to see them growing up there, turning into yet another pack of young dogs who will soon end up fighting and bullying the most vulnerable ones because they are just too many Neoma, Novalee and Nabbi are the shyest ones, always the last ones to get food. Then, Hopper and Cinnamon, who are still a bit shy but dealing a bit better with their situation. The social and nice male brindle puppies from mommy Conny (Fiete, Alvar, Leif) are the boldest, friendliest ones, and the quickest ones to get food and treats.

- The younger puppies - outside kennel 2 - Loki, Bailey & Brandy and the gang of 5 puppies from mommy Samari. A very sweet gang but also having a difficult time because of the cold and their current situation. Loki probably has carpal laxity, his front leg is deformed, we hope that the good food and supplements that we can provide will help him get over this critical period in his development. Other than that, he is positive and does not seem to be very affected by this problem. Samari's puppies are small and very vulnerable, some of them have gotten really friendly, others are still a bit shy.

Hi

Together with Carmen, Raluca and Raisa (from Rays, a local NGO), on 20.12 we bought some rewards and visited all the dogs in the ecarisaj making sure each one of them received at least one treat.

More details will follow later, for now just letting you know about a real Christmas miracle for Tody kennel 206, Raisa took him in foster care, he is now groomed and in a warm loving place.

-Maru kennel 5 - very nice and sweet boy, since February 2020 in the ecarisaj, so sadly also a veteran He is medium size, about 55 cm, friendly and handsome, with beautiful black fur despite his long time in the ecarisaj. We really hope his chance will come soon.

- Fluffy friendly boy now in kennel 56 (ex 226) - He was injured at the kennel fence and was treated and moved to kennel 56 with peaceful quiet neighbors. We don't think any of his old neighbors had anything to do with his injury but the staff considered it is better to move him. He is recovering well, he will probably heal completely without any issues. He is still positive, friendly and looking for an active family.

- Jasko, kennel 204 - He has been in the ecarisaj since February 2022, soon celebrating 2 years in the ecarisaj 2 years of endless sadness and depression, it is incredibly sad to see him constantly running around in circles. He is not hopeless, he is a very adoptable boy, born 2017, a German Shepherd mix or pure breed. When we enter his kennel to say hello or bring treats, he stops running around, he enjoys being petted and he enjoys the company. He is an intelligent dog who cannot deal with his captivity, he has suffered so much and he would urgently need to get out of there and show what a great guy he is.

- Byron kennel 250 - Raluca has already sent an email with details about him.

- Slim kennel 249 - Raluca or Carmen will send an update.

- Kennel 175 - Absolutely lovely and gorgeous young boy, XXL size, 85 cm shoulder height, 1.5 years old, fresh in the ecarisaj (since 16.12.2023). Affectionate and loving, very interested in cuddling and less in food and treats. A truly great boy, we really hope he will get out of there soon and end up in a good family, before his health is affected by the lack of activity in a kennel where he can barely turn around

- Confianza kennel 187 - Very very sad and quiet girl, she would so much need to get out of there. She surely has zero trust when it comes to people, she is not interested in treats and she ist just depressed. Sadly she has spent more than 2 years in the ecarisaj. She is a desperate case, we really hope someone will notice her and decide to give her a chance, she can surely make progress and start enjoying life again, but not in here

- The lovely bunch of puppies in outside kennels 1 and 2, fighting hard to survive the cold

Zedric's black sister was named Zelma and she is the sweetest puppy, smaller than all her colleagues (outside kennel 1) and trying hard to keep up. She is friendly and affectionate, she would bring a lot of joy to her family. We really hope her chance will also come soon, she needs it:

Summary:

- 4 young dogs in kennel 70 (Mona, Luka, Liana - white + black girl, Momo - labrador-like boy, gender not 100% certain, to be confirmed))

Ex colleagues Greta and Aika have managed to leave the ecarisaj, we wish the same to the rest of the current group. Momo is the bravest one, very open and friendly, loves to cuddle and play. Liana is a bit more shy but still approachable and she would recover very quickly in a friendly environment. Mona and Luka are still shy, but a bit better in this context than a few months back when the gang was larger and the competition for food much worse. The current group seem to be living in harmony, Mona and Luka are the underdogs and the last ones to eat, but they get along well with the other 2 colleagues. We wish all of them to get their tickets out of here soon.

- Raven kennel 65 - Raven has just celebrated his sad 1 year anniversary in the ecarisaj, he has been here since November 2022. He is 2 years old now, the same gorgeous peaceful boy, but still having issues trusting people. He is not aggressive in any way, my daughter decided to spend about 10 minutes on each visit with him and read to him. He is a bit confused about the whole thing, but happy to get yummy treats in the process :)) He won't make much progress in the ecarisaj, he is a sensitive boy and the environment is not at all suitable for him. We hope his chance will come soon.

- Bartley - kennel 84 - Very nice and friendly male, 5 years old, 60 cm shoulder height, rather fresh in the ecarisaj (since November 2023). He is very hungry and very people oriented, he has beautiful and expressive hazel eyes, silky coat and everytime someone visits, he hopes that his incarceration has finally ended and he can leave together with the visitors. Sadly, both his ears are cut off, but he surely got over that old trauma long ago, he trusts and likes people. Hopefully it won't be long until he can leave the kennel for good.

-Delis kennel 82 - A bit of optimism in an ocean of sadness, Delis is doing a bit better than last time we visited. This time, I actually felt like he was ready for a bit of closer interaction and was able to pet him. He is surely shy and meek, but he does not have the slightest aggressive tendency, he is a DARLING. If anyone decides to give him the chance and a bit of love and patience, he will turn into the greatest friend any dog lover can hope for. He has been in the ecarisaj since November 2023 and I still haven't received information about his estimated age, I will ask again and get back with an update.

- Pluto kennel 60 - Everyone who has met him in person, has said it several times already, I can't say much more about him than I already have. He is PERFECT and any sane person would fall in love with him after spending 2 minutes together. We took him out for a walk in the grass and he also helped us test veteran Anouk in kennel 105, in the hope that she may get a ticket to Cerstin's sanctuary next year (still to be confirmed). He is a wise, balanced and absolutely gorgeous and affectionate dog, 62 cm shoulder height, born 2014. Why he is still in the ecarisaj after more than 3 years...no clue, no reason I can't stress out how hard it was to take him back to his kennel after his happy moment outside and the meeting with Anouk which he really enjoyed even though she was too scared of us people to enjoy Pluto. He got a chicken fillet reward for his help, which he really liked even though he is usually a lot more interested in cuddling than treats.

- Talina kennel 156 - This cutie has been in the ecarisaj since 03.2022, she is about 50-52 cm and born 2019. She is so beautiful and peaceful, she is a bit shy especially when it comes to petting, but she can be touched without any aggressive reaction and she eats treats from the hand very easily, proving that she can turn into a social friendly dog very fast if she is given the chance.

-Lilly kennel 124 - Sweet Lilly has been in the ecarisaj since 05.2022, she is born 2019, about 56 cm, and she is a positive, social and friendly girl. She walks on the leash like a pro, she loves other dogs, she also visited Anouk 105 to test her with a female. She is a non complicated, easy going dog, all she needs is a family.

- Dodi kennel 240 - he is booked for Heidi/Pfotengluck, his future adopter needed some videos of him walking.

- Bellinda kennel 99 - Bellinda is a real sweetie, she is a bit shy but she would recover quickly. She accepts treats from the hand and she can be petted. Her initial age information was probably incorrect, we will have to check with the ecarisaj vets, her teeth seem to suggest she is older than 4 years (as registered in the ecarisaj papers when she was captured). She is about 45-48 cm and very pretty and sweet. She gets along well with her young and crazy neighbors in kennel 101, they sometimes cuddle through the fence.

- The lovely puppies in outside kennel 1 and 2, struggling with the cold and in general with life in a prison without a loving mommy (canine/human).

Not much news to mention here, one relevant thing would probably be that Summer is the shyest one of the puppies in outside kennel 2, she spends her time in the dog house and her chances of recovery if she grows up in the ecarisaj will be zero. Snoopy is also a bit shy but he can be convinced to come closer and enjoys being hugged and petted once captured. The other guys in outside kennel 2 are all social and friendly and playful. We wish all of them the very best and hopefully nice families in early 2024 before they grow up in the ecarisaj.

- Röschen kennel 251 - She is a super sweet girl, she is cautious but can be petted without any sign of aggression and it is obvious that she would quickly become an affectionate loving companion, with just a bit of love and patience. She is very adoptable, peaceful and nice. She was born 12.2021 and has already celebrated 1 year of ecarisaj captivity time.

- Byron kennel 250- Raluca has already mentioned what a great lovely dog he is, but since we were in the neighbour kennel, he simply could not be ignored. He invited us over through the fence and was too convincing to be refused. He has a shoulder height of 70 cm, born 11.2019, a real darling teddy bear, very interested in cuddling and socializing with people. It would be such a shame for him to spend years in the ecarisaj, we really hope someone notices him.

- Jasko ex kennel 204 - was moved to kennel 206. Not sure about the reasons, but he is behaving the same way he did before and would really really need a chance to get out of here as soon as possible.

- Veteran Marlon kennel 195 - We tested him with Pluto kennel 60 and Sol kennel 210 and he is the lucky winner of a ticket to Cerstin's sanctuary, where he will travel on the 19.1. We are so incredibly happy for him and very thankful for this chance.

- Sol kennel 210 - This chubby girl is a DREAM! Since 05.2022 in the ecarisaj, born 05.2019, 60-62 cm shoulder height, she is the sweetest dog. She did so great in the test with Marlon, he was cautious at first but she managed to raise his interest in a very skillful manner, a true lady As a reward for her great help, aside from the well deserved chicken fillet, we also took her out for a walk in the grass, which she enjoyed very much. She is such an adoptable girl, she loves people and she loves dogs, she is so positive and balanced, all she needs is a family.

- kennel 175 - The XXL boy is no longer here, I believe he was adopted, but am still waiting on the official confirmation. In his place, there is a wonderful medium size young boy, who had just returned from his neutering surgery. Still a bit confused and dizzy, but awake enough to cuddle with us and wag his tail a bit. He has been in the ecarisaj since 12.2023, born 06.2022, medium size. He is surely a heartbreaker, we will visit him again next time when he is fully awake and take more pictures.

-Veterans Romy & Fionn kennel 33 - At the request of fans, some new photos and videos of Romy & Fionn. One of the saddest stories in the ecarisaj, puppies growing to become veterans... I don't think there is any particular reason, they are not less adoptable than other dogs who have left the ecarisaj, they simply did not have any luck so far. I can't say anything new that has not already been said about this poor foxy couple. We hope their chance will come.

- Raven kennel 65 - the usual weekly visits of my daughter He already knows that he gets good treats and is looking forward to that, however if possible he would like to avoid the human contact that comes with them He can be touched, he surely does not enjoy it, but he also does not show any sign of aggressivity. He is young and surely recoverable, but needs an experienced family with a lot of time. His experiences with people have probably been very bad, but his nature is that of a good gentle dog, so even though he is very scared of being touched, he is not aggressive.

- Fee kennel 110 - quick test required by her future family, everything went perfectly so she will leave the ecarisaj at the end of Jan

- kennel 145 - Wonderful, affectionate and super handsome boy, estimated date of birth 01.2020, 55-56 cm, surely wondering what he is doing in the ecarisaj. He is so friendly and sweet, nice to his neighbors and 100% people oriented. Ready to find his family as soon as possible.

- kennel 127 - Wonderful charming boy that makes your heart melt, a bit sensitive and cautious at first, but in fact only interested in cuddling. He is also new and confused about the whole situation, 3 years old, 70-71 cm. His ears are cut off, a sad and ugly mark of his previous life, but he is surely ready to put everything behind him and find happiness.

- kennel 128 - Wonderful girl, seems to have had puppies not very long ago :(, 2 years old, 45 cm shoulder height. She is very skinny and delicate, but very lovely and sweet. Her eyes are sad and she is cautious at first but no surprise there given that she has just recently been captured and landed in the ecarisaj. Very adoptable and nice.

- kennel 151 - New friendly and sweet girl, very very hungry, too thin, about 61-63 cm, young (waiting on information about the age). She is very playful and loves to be petted, a really nice companion.

Summary:

- Romeo kennel 175 - Great name for the charming boy, he was in good shape today, he is a bit cautious at first, still trying to process the fact that he lives in a prison now, but he is very lovely, sweet and affectionate. You can probably see/hear in the videos that the general agitation today was a bit higher because the dogs were waiting for their meal time, but Romeo is clearly a very adoptable young dog, we hope his ticket out is about to come. He is 1.5 years old, and about 56-57cm.

- Jasko kennel 204 (ex 204, 206) - Poor Jasko was moved back to his old kennel, 204. Unfortunately no news here, his sole occupation is running around in a circle. He stops for treats and for visitors, but other than this, his daily routine is... simply hell.

- Priam kennel 174 - Priam is a darling, delicate and cute, a bit cautious but in fact very willing to give and receive affection. He needs a loving family to give him security. Born 09.2020, about 55-57 cm, sadly since 09.2022 in the ecarisaj. Very adoptable, with the cutest teddy bear face.

- Peppa kennel 128 - The lovely girl was spayed this week, she is doing relatively well, the worst thing is probably the cold weather which really puts her short fur to the test. She is happy to receive extra portions of wet food and treats, she still has to put on some weight. She is delicate and sweet, very adoptable.

- Aslan quarantine 1 kennel 4 - Very nice old weakened boy, he only has some teeth left and they are in very poor shape sadly. I am a bit worried about him, today he did not want to eat at all, not even chicken fillet or good wet food. He took a short walk in the quarantine, and he let us pet him nicely, but we'll have to monitor him, he is probably not feeling great. I hope it was just the cold before he came into the quarantine and nothing worse than this. So sad to see him so helpless and in here, he belongs in a warm safe place, with people to care for him. He is about 50-51 cm.

- Cleo quarantine 1 kennel 3 - Sweet small Cleo is shy and not relaxed, but she will surely recover well in a friendly environment. She needs some time and someone who can make her feel safe. She is not ready to accept treats from the hand yet, she is visibly sad about being in the ecarisaj.

- Kia, Kiki, Kian - The 3 mini puppies quarantine 2 kennel 3 - These poor babies are heart melting, they are 2 girls (Kiki - the small black one with short fur, Kia - the white-brown-black fluffy one) and a boy (black fluffy one with white socks).
Kiki is the smallest, she fits in the palm of the hand, she is the bravest one, super friendly and active.
Kia is also friendly, just needs a few minutes to establish that it is safe for her to interact with the people.
Kian is a tiny bit shy, but he is also very sweet and he sticks to your body, he enjoys being held, he surely misses his mommy.
They are a very sweet small family, all of them are probably relatively small size and very adoptable. We hope they will stay healthy and manage to find good homes. For now, they keep each other company, stay safe together, eat together and play together.

All the other puppies were put in the outside kennels, they are fighting the harsh cold and hard life in an overcrowded kennel, sadly no adoptions at all All the puppies from last week are still desperately looking for families. Not even Loki (who was booked by somebody) was picked up, he is still there, hopefully next week. We keep our fingers crossed for all of them.

Not so many updates this time, the harsh cold makes many other tasks (like replacing frozen water and extra feeding) more critical than photos, but we were able to also do a bit of that.

Diesmal gibt es nicht so viele Aktualisierungen, die starke Kälte macht viele andere Aufgaben (wie das Ersetzen von gefrorenem Wasser und zusätzliches Füttern) wichtiger als Fotos, aber wir konnten auch ein wenig davon erledigen.

- Evelin kennel 30 & Amanda kennel 43 - At the request of fans, we had to test ex mommy Evelin with a female and we chose Amanda kennel 43. Both girls are more than lovely, each in their individual special way. Evelin is very balanced, wise and calm, a real darling. Amanda is younger, more active, more curious and a bit agitated but all just because she is longing for interaction and human affection. She is no longer skinny (thanks to Carmen's tireless efforts to improve the lives of the dogs in the ecarisaj and your help with the extra food donations) and she has little interest in food and goodies, she very much prefers people instead. Great girls, social and sweet! And the great news is that following these tests, Evelin has won a foster home via Animalia and will leave the ecarisaj soon. Dear Amanda is still looking, we hope her chance will come along as well, she is a very adoptable, good-mood young girl.

- Veteran Sebastian kennel 37 - Again, one of the veterans who actually has no reason to still be in the ecarisaj after 4 years. Born 02.2010 officially (he's probably not that old though), around 60 cm (including a very thick layer of fur), he is a delight. So friendly and sweet and positive, not scared of anybody, easy going and just happy to play and be petted. His pink nose is lovely, his teeth are a mess, but he eats well and has not given up hope. He would make a great friend and a jolly companion if someone decided to give him a chance. He surely needs grooming, but for the current weather in Cluj, his thick fur is a blessing, messy as it may be, but I think he is one of the few dogs in the ecarisaj who does not suffer too much from the very cold weather at the moment (at least compared to other colleagues).

- Veteran Brandon kennel 58 - Brandon is enjoying the larger kennel with a bit more space to move after months of quarantine detention, however he is also affected by the cold. He is still the same shy boy, not aggressive, but preferring to avoid human contact if possible. Treats are welcome, but he still does not really trust people. He can be touched if cornered, but it is not something that he enjoys. He is about 50 cm, and would probably be able to make good progress in a friendlier environment, with the right people.

- Jack kennel 69 - Jack is a sweet boy, calm and a bit cautious at first, but very lovely, about 55-56 cm. He likes the attention and can be petted nicely, he seems to be a very good dog who does not demand a lot. A bit of love and some treats in a warm cozy place would be enough to make him very happy.

Summary:

- Evelin kennel 30, Funny kennel 74 and the 3 babies Kia, Kian & Kiki (quarantine 2) have left the ecarisaj and are now in Suceag.

- Oldie Aslan (quarantine 1) is doing better, eating well, waiting for his vet check this week. He has a small tumor, we hope it is not very bad and he will also get his chance. He is such a great boy, calm, docile and wise.

- Sad mommy Cleo (quarantine 1) is doing a bit better as well, this time we were able to pet her and she is lucky to have found a foster place, many thanks Astrid / Pfotengluck!

- Little Alfons (quarantine 1), the moody boy, is booked for adoption, his family visited him yesterday and will take him out this week, we wish him the best of luck.

- Karla, kennel 57 - Sweet Karla came as a puppy in the ecarisaj last spring, unfortunately she did not get adopted and ended up growing up in the ecarisaj. She has been separated from the rest of the gang of puppies who grew up together and she is alone in kennel 57. She is born 01.2023, about 62 cm, very beautiful, and just a bit shy - the typical shyness of puppies growing up in the ecarisaj. She can be petted nicely and she would recover quickly in a family and learn everything that she has missed in the ecarisaj. She is a bit cautious with being petted on the head, probably the usual ecarisaj traumas. Very lovely girl, sadly overlooked as a puppy, will hopefully be seen as a young fine adult.

- Raven kennel 65 - the cute shy boy is making a little progress, he now eats his treats while Mira is around and can be petted a bit, but this is still stressful for him. Sadly, not the place to make great progress, we wish him loads of luck to get noticed and given a chance, he will surely prove he deserves it.

- Oldie Mia kennel 14 (ex kennel 27) - Mia was moved to kennel 14 because of some repairs that needed to be made to her old kennel. Estimated to be born 12.2009, 50 cm shoulder height. She is a darling, I was sad to see her more sad and tired, weaker, surely affected by the cold and the long time in the ecarisaj Hopefully there is a warm cozy place for her somewhere out there to spend the time she has left, I am afraid she won't be around for much longer, sadly it feels like she is giving up.

- Blue, Bina, Bobo, Benny - Young pack of 4 dogs - kennel 1 - There are 4 gorgeous young dogs in here, born end of 2022, all of them puppies who have grown in the ecarisaj. They grew up together and are good friends, get along perfectly, they eat and live in harmony, and they are super sweet. 2 of them are a bit more shy and prefer to keep their distance, the other 2 forget their shyness after a couple of minutes and come and demand hugging and petting. Even the shy ones are definitely recoverable, they are not aggressive in any way, just a bit cautious and with a large enough kennel to be able to dodge people :).They have not given up hope, they try to be happy and enjoy their life as it is. At least they have enough room to run around in the large kennel. We hope their families will come along, they need a chance to relive their childhood but this time in a proper environment.

- 6 puppies outside kennel 2 - Zelma, Bailey (whose sister Brandy/Frieda has left the ecarisaj), and the 4 puppies moved out from quarantine (not sure which of Fluffy, Teddy, Rowdy, Ursa und Mischka - it appears one of them was adopted, we will check)
Zelma - Date of birth 10.2023, super sweet and friendly, will probably be medium size as an adult, she is ready to travel in February in case she gets a chance. She is such a social and easy going girl, she loves people and she gets along with dogs. We hope the best for her.

- 3 (somewhat older) puppies outside kennel 1 - Pancake, Pandur and Ivory - It appears Pandispan was adopted, he is no longer there, we will check. Pancake and Pandur are friendly and people oriented, but they have been like this from the beginning. The unexpected good news is that Ivory seems to have become a lot more friendly and open, we hope the best for them all!

- Cleo's puppy girl (ex quarantine, now in the post op room) - still waiting on her name from her future foster mom - is doing better, eating well and gaining strength. She will leave the ecarisaj tomorrow, she found a foster place, many thanks Astrid / Pfotengluck!

- Zimbo kennel 137 - Zimbo, sharpei mix (with no pedigree but a blue-black tongue and an excess of skin to prove it), born 06.2018, since 06.2021 in the ecarisaj, about 55 cm. He is such a great boy, walks on the leash like a pro, and was so excited about a bit of freedom, grass after 2.5 years. He kept showing us where the exit gate is, indicating that this was the direction he wants to go. He is overweight, but he would surely love to walk and run to get back into shape. He is very friendly, very used to being around people, he probably had a family at some point. As always, very sad to return him to his lonely kennel. He's an adoptable nice dog, maybe there are breed fans out there. He is better than a pure breed sharpei :), he has a bit of extra skin, but not as much as usual sharpeis, so no real skin problems for him.


- Kirby kennel 164 - Sweet shy boy, adopted as a puppy from the ecarisaj and brought back in a worse shape than he was He is doing better now, coming to terms with his new life - hard to believe, but probably better then where he was before. Kirby is a gorgeous young boy, about 55 cm, born in the autumn of 2022. He has great potential, he eats from the hand, and with a bit of convincing, he accepts petting. He is not a truly scared dog and he is not aggressive in any way, he is just a bit insecure and needs to build trust. He has great potential and needs a second chance, this time in a good family.


- Go round with some treats - kennels 224 - 200:

- Hard to find the words to describe Nanette and do her justice, she is just sooooo WONDERFUL. She's a dream girl, she convinced us to visit her from the neighbouring kennel. Born 02.2019, in the ecarisaj since 02.2023, about 57 cm, and one of the best dogs ever. She is affectionate, people oriented, calm and balanced, a real jewel. She needs a family ASAP

- Priam kennel 174 - The sweet boy was finally noticed and will leave the ecarisaj at the end of March, thank you very much!


- Rosa kennel 220 - Since 10.2023 in the ecarisaj, born approx. 10.2019, about 45 cm shoulder height, Rosa is a very sweet shy girl. She prefers to avoid close human contact, but we were able to pet her as you can see in the video. She is surely not relaxed, but she had no aggressive reaction, she is totally recoverable, she just needs to build trust. When we are outside her kennel with treats, she wags her tail and invites us in. She is generally very interested in food, which makes her the perfect candidate for a successful and quick recovery. She is happy to be out of her previous small quarantine kennel and enjoying the room to move around. We hope someone decides to give her a chance, she would surely make the most out of it.


- Veteran Marina kennel 219 - Since 09.2020 in the ecarisaj, born approx. 09.2017, about 54 cm, Marina is a very nice and calm girl, balanced and affectionate. She is not pushy, but she is very sweet and peaceful, she would make a great companion. She has already spent more than 3 years in the ecarisaj, which is really sad considering what a cute adoptable dog she is. Funny thing, she resembles Nanette, her beautiful and younger neighbour in kennel 218, although they came in the ecarisaj years apart from one another and probably from different places. Gorgeous girls both of them anyway, waiting to become family dogs!


- Modjo kennel 173 - Since 10.2023 in the ecarisaj, born approx. 04.2022, about 55 cm, Modjo is a super friendly and social young boy. He is very much longing for human attention and affection, he loves to play and cuddle and he surely misses his freedom. (Akela, the previous dog who was in kennel 173, was adopted in Cluj, we hope he is happy.)


- Tilly kennel 15 - Since 11.2021 in the ecarisaj, born approx. 11.2017, about 50 cm, Tilly is one of the loveliest dogs in the ecarisaj, very adoptable and hard not to fall in love with after a few seconds spent together. She is just wonderful, has the sweetest way of interacting with people, so sad she is still in the ecarisaj after more than 2 years. Not much more I can say, she is just perfect and really special. I hope someone else sees that very soon and takes her home, she belongs in a family. She would need a teeth cleaning, we will try to see how we can help.


- Veteran Scarlett kennel 17 - Since 12.2020 in the ecarisaj, estimated to be born 12.2019, about 55 cm, Scarlett is still the same beautiful and shy girl, with kind and sad eyes. Sadly she is spending her best years in the ecarisaj. She lacks trust, but she has no aggressive reactions, she can even be touched and petted, proving that she has good potential to recover. Her childhood is long gone, but we really hope her chance is yet to come.


- Puki kennel 16 - New boy in the ecarisaj (he came in last week), estimated to be born 02.2020, about 53 cm, he has people who know him from the streets but are unfortunately unable to take him out. He has lived around people all his life, he is very friendly and balanced, we hope he gets his chance soon, before he loses his hope in the ecarisaj. He has conjunctivitis and is getting some treatment, does not seem to be problematic or bother him too much though.


- Charmy kennel 228 - Charmy ist a great young boy, playful, loving and sweet, and illegally cute About 65 cm, with magazine looks (how he keeps his fur so clean in the ecarisaj, is a mystery), in the ecarisaj since 08.2023, estimated to be born 10.2022, he is such a positive and lovely companion. He walks on the leash like he's been training for months, he cuddles with his older male neighbour through the fence, he is balanced and very friendly. We really hope he finds his family soon instead of ending up forgotten on a chain somewhere, which is sadly the fate of most large dogs in Romania.


- Puppy girls Fay Minnie (outside kennel 1, blue eyes) & Becky (quarantine 2) - We were happy to take 2 puppy girls out on Sunday:
- the blue eyed puppy Fay who has a family via Pfotengluck, has gone to Mara until she can travel


- a new very small size puppy girl, Becky born 01.01.2024, who is in foster care at Magda's home and looking for a family

- Veteran Speranto (aka Speranta) kennel 72 - Such a wonderful boy, and already celebrating 6 YEARS in the ecarisaj (he is in the ecarisaj since 2018)! Born 2015, about 56 cm and a bit chubby because of the 6 years imprisonment, he is an affectionate and sweet dog, whose youth has already passed. He was constantly overlooked for so many years, we really hope his golden age will really be a golden one. To give him an extra chance to be seen, we took him out for a walk. You can see how excited and happy he was, after 6 long years finally setting foot on grass again. Outside, he walked on a leash really nicely, but inside the ecarisaj, we had to carry him because the noise and general agitation were a bit too much to digest all of a sudden while walking along the kennels (everyone who has been here knows exactly how overwhelming it can be). He is a friendly and positive dog, very keen on people and very grateful for attention, affection and treats. We really hope his chance comes soon, 6 years of ecarisaj is a lifetime


- Veteran Noby kennel 78 - Another wonderful boy, who will soon be celebrating 6 years in the ecarisaj. He was born in 2017 and has been in the ecarisaj since April 2018. He is about 53 cm, so peaceful and quiet and sweet. He is shy and lacks trust, but he can be petted nicely, he has no aggressive reactions. He is a gorgeous dog, and surely recoverable with a bit of love and patience. We really hope he will finally get noticed, he is such a darling.


- Nubi kennel 88 - In the ecarisaj since 05.2022, estimated to be born 2018-2019, about 47 cm, Nubi is a very nice boy, a bit cautious but in fact friendly and enjoying human attention and treats. Very playful, with a good amount of positive energy to spread, he surely suffers of boredom in the ecarisaj. An active family would be really suitable for him, he would probably enjoy hiking and playing a lot. He would surely need grooming when the weather gets warmer, his fur is a mess.


- Bavaria kennel 90 - Since 10.2020 in the ecarisaj, estimated to be born 10.2017, probably a bit under 50 cm, Bavaria is such a sweet shy girl. She is a bit insecure and cautious, but she can be petted nicely, and would surely learn to trust people very quickly in a friendlier safer environment. Same as her old friend Bellinda in kennel 99, she is a real darling who just needs a chance.


- The nice gang in kennel 104 - Kia, Karina, Kosja, Flop & Figa are still the same nice dogs, keeping each other company and trying hard to enjoy life in the ecarisaj.
Figa had visitors yesterday (friends of Bianca), so we took her out for a bit to meet them, and she was booked for adoption 🥰 She has left the ecarisaj today, she is in very good hands and will surely have a nice life from now on! We hope her 4 (ex) colleagues will get lucky as well.

- Puppies Ted (white-black) & Bijou (black) kennel 48 - Super sweet and loving puppies, 4 months old. Bijou is a bit more cautious than her brother, but both of them are really lovely and enjoying people's attention. They are very friendly and adoptable.

- Alvar kennel 35 - Conny's puppies were separated and Alvar ended up in kennel 35. He is less happy and more lonely here, a bit more cautious than in the big happy gang, but this is what happens when puppies grow up in the pound. Born end of June 2023, about 56 cm, he is a gorgeous boy, just like his mommy and brothers. He is a bit shy at first, but he can be petted nicely, he takes treats from the hand and he would surely love to have a family.


- Fiete kennel 32 - Same fate as his brother Alvar, Fiete ended up alone in kennel 32, however he is much more open and friendly and bold than his brother. He hugs, he plays, he does anything to get treats. He is not shy at all, and he is also gorgeous. He is very excited about people visiting and he loves treats, he would be so happy to learn about life outside the ecarisaj, very suitable for an active family. Born end of June 2023, about 59 cm.


- Tomte kennel 40 - Wonderful friendly boy, about 56 cm, born 06.2020, he used to live in harmony with his good friends Amy, Mika and Emma. Mika and Amy got lucky and left the ecarisaj, and Tomte and Emma (kennel 230) are now in single-dog kennels, despite the fact that they are both very social and nice pack dogs. Tomte loves to cuddle and get treats, it was nice to see him again, although he was happier previously in the large box with his friends. He is resilient and he has not lost hope to find his people.


- Tilly kennel 15 & veteran Willy kennel 54 - We took Tilly and Willy out for a walk together. Tilly is a bit shy when taken outside her kennel, but farther away from the kennels and the noise, she relaxed and walked on the leash nicely. On a previous test, she reacted very defensively and growled at dogs around her because of the stress. Outside with Willy, she ignored him. She is mostly focused on people, and so very affectionate and loving. If in a family with other dogs, she may need a bit of time and patience to integrate smoothly. She is surely ok, but she may have had bad experiences with dogs in her past, so she needs to gain trust first and feel safe.

Willy is the same great boy, sweet and balanced. Sadly, we noticed that he started coughing every now and again, we suspect it is his heart/lungs, we will try to get him to a vet check soon. Too many years and too many winters in the ecarisaj, they are taking their toll 🥲

They both enjoyed their time on the grass and were sad to go back to their kennels.

- Fenia, quarantine 1 kennel 3 - Small size girl, 6 years old, a bit shy but very cute, we could pet her nicely. She still needs to process the fact that she is in the ecarisaj, but she will surely be ok.


- Zina, quarantine 1 (ex 27) - Zina is such a super sweet girl, she is obviously not in great shape, her legs are a bit deformed surely due to inadequate food before she came into the ecarisaj, and she is sad to be alone in the quarantine. Hopefully her treatment will work out well and she will get better soon. I thought she was a young puppy at first because of her size, but she is actually 6-7 months old and lower medium size. She is very people oriented and very much longing for love. Very lovable and very adoptable young girl.

- Puppies Pancake & Pandur - Kennel 68 - These puppies have been in the ecarisaj since the beginning of Nov 2023 and missed their chance to be adopted as young puppies Pancake got lucky and will be adopted by the family who adopted Zelma, many thanks to Susan & Pfotengluck! She will travel at the end of March, this will leave Pandur very lonely and sad, we really really hope that he also gets his chance. Living with Pancake has done him a lot of good, he is still a bit shy compared to her, but he learned to take treats, and even enjoy petting. He is a very sweet sensitive boy, and will probably be large size, and it would be so great for him to find a family as well instead of turning into another puppy veteran in the ecarisaj. He would recover very quickly in a good environment.


- Nala kennel 66 - Nala has been in the ecarisaj since 05.2022, estimated to be born 05.2016, about 50 cm, very sweet and rather shy. She accepts petting although she does not fully trust people yet, and she has no aggressive reactions. She is very quiet and sad. She will surely recover if given the chance, she is a sensitive girl who just needs the right people.


- Isi kennel 64 - Isi is a shy beautiful lady, she used to be together with Tristan, but since they were separated, she is living alone. She is more shy than Tristan, but with a bit of patience, we were able to pet her , without any aggressive reaction. She has an ingrown nail on one of her hind legs, we have asked the ecarisaj vets to help with this. Isi is about 54 cm, has been in the ecarisaj since 01.2021, estimated date of birth 01.2016.


- Ladina - kennel 53 - Ladina is a super friendly girl, active and very relaxed and comfortable around people. Her beautiful fur now looks very messy, she is a candidate for grooming as soon as spring sets in for good. She is about 59 cm, in the ecarisaj since 03.2022, born approx. 09.2020. She is very interested in treats and caresses, we hope someone will fall in love with her soon.


- Leif - kennel 7 - Leif is the brother of Alvar & Fiete, the unlucky boys of mommy Conny (kennel 254), who were not adopted as young puppies and ended up being separated. He has the same personality and behaviour as his brother Alvar, he is a bit shy when it comes to close human contact, but he is actually a friendly, jolly young boy, willing to learn and be happy. We wish him the best of luck, he would make a wonderful family member. Not to mention, he is gorgeous, just like his mommy and his brothers. Born end of June 2023, about 61 cm.


- Ivory kennel 3 - Yet another sad fate, Ivory came into the ecarisaj as a 2 months old scared puppy in June 2022. He grew up in here, and quietly and sadly turned into a scared adult dog, with no knowledge about the outside world. He is a handsome boy who has not given up hope. I was very happy that we could pet him without any aggressive reaction on his part. He needs a chance very badly, to come out of here and start learning that dog life is so much more than a lonely ecarisaj kennel. He is an agile athletic young dog, about 50 cm, and he needs a family who has experience with scared dogs, he has great potential to become a loving happy family member.


- Merlin - kennel 240 - Love at first sight, older boy (waiting for the official estimation), new in the ecarisaj, people oriented, balanced, wise, loving, friendly, calm and super sweet. You know - the perfect kind of dog, it only takes a minute to realize this. He is about 64 cm and I really really hope he finds his people soon, he belongs in a family.


- Honey kennel 241 - Beautiful sweet girl, she surely had bad experiences with people in her past, so at first if you enter her kennel she tries to intimidate by feeble growling attempts. But if you get closer and also have treats, she turns into a little lamb She can be petted really nicely, she is actually just a sweet sensitive girl, who had a hard life. Her front right leg is deformed, looking at it more closely this time, I suspect that it might also be something that she was born with, or trauma that she suffered as a young puppy. The paw is smaller than normal but she seems to have her toes and nails. I did not want to stress her too much, but I don't think there is anything that can be done to help her in the ecarisaj. Anyway, her handicap has probably made her even more insecure, but everything that she needs is the right people to help her build some trust. She will turn into a sweetie in no time, and she could have a great life despite her handicap. She has been in the ecarisaj since 11.2022, estimated date of birth 11.2020, about 50 cm.


- And of course, our loyal customer Raven kennel 65, making a bit more progress every week Also, short videos of Speedy 233 and
ex mommmy Lilli 232, whose fans were asking whether they were still in the ecarisaj. Unfortunately yes, both are still there.

- Rosemary - kennel 105 - New girl in the ecarisaj (since 16.02.2024), a bit overwhelmed and agitated to be locked in here, but in fact super sweet and lovely, enjoying human attention and treats. Her name comes from the name of the street that she was captured on She is young (waiting for the official age estimation), about 59-60 cm, very beautiful and of course, looking for a nice family.


- Tono kennel 109 and Nanette kennel 218 - This is the sweet couple that we took out for a walk today, they are a dream team! Both of them so happy to meet other dogs "in person", not just through the kennel fence.

Tono is the last puppy from Marli's family, he came into the ecarisaj as a 2 months old puppy in May 2022. Sadly, he is already celebrating his second birthday in the ecarisaj. His mommy and brothers have left the ecarisaj and found families, thanks to Animalia 🥰. For the first time to have a harness and a leash, and be outside his kennel, I would say he did great! On the way out, he stopped to say hello to all colleagues, and when he saw Nanette walking towards him, he was sooo happy. Great, great boy, friendly and sweet and super handsome as well, about 67-68 cm. He is so happy about every human being he meets, including the caretakers who were running around with their chores.


Nanette - she is a perfect dog, can't say much more than I already have. It was so nice to confirm that she is also perfect in relation to other dogs that she meets directly. Even when Tono got a bit too exuberant and playful, and most dogs would have shown him his place, she was so nice and tolerant instead, and happy about his company. She also greeted fellow colleagues from kennel 104 nicely through the fence. Born 02.2019, about 56-57 cm, super sweet, affectionate and people oriented, a DREAM GIRL with the cutest face!
Both of these dogs are really wonderful, they would become great family members if someone decides to give them a chance.


- Yogi - kennel 170 - Wonderful freckled boy, new in the ecarisaj, still a bit overwhelmed, but sooo very nice and sweet, enjoying human affection. He is a sensitive boy, very human oriented, estimated date of birth 02.2019, 55 cm. He is so cute, gently lifting his paw to show where he wants to be scratched. He surely lived with people before, his eyes are literally begging to take him with you.


- Agilo - kennel 212 - Super sweet and friendly boy, estimated date of birth 03.2018, about 51-52 cm. Agilo is positive and playful, he is very social and happy about human company. His front legs are somewhat deformed, he was probably born like this and he does not seem to be too bothered about this problem. He jumps, he hugs, he plays like a puppy. He is very very adoptable and would be so happy to live in a home. He was really funny, his daily meal was delivered as we were in his kennel, he ran to the bowl, he took some kibbles in his mouth like a hamster, and then he ran back to us with the kibbles in his mouth, making sure he doesn't miss one moment of socializing. The hamster thing did not work out so well, so he abandoned his kibbles and focused fully on us after. He is a good mood dog, guaranteed to make you laugh.


- Tonya - kennel 166 - Tonya is a really nice, balanced and beautiful old lady, large size, about 10-11 years old. Her fur is a mess, but you can still see what a beautiful girl she is. Very calm, friendly, happy about human company and happy about treats. Looking for a warm soft place to sleep, instead of the cold hard concrete.


- Flop & Kosja, Kia, Karina - kennel 104 - At the request of Flop's fans, we made some more videos and photos. The nice gang in this kennel are all living in harmony and peace, enjoying each other's company. Flop can be petted nicely, carried, she would be able to recover in a family. She was born 03.2020, is about 40 cm, a very manageable size. She has been in the ecarisaj since 2021 Fingers crossed for all of them!
 

- Agila kennel 67 - Agila is such a cute and sweet delicate foxy boy, a bit shy and sensitive, but with great potential. He is living in one of the ugliest kennels, small and wet, and he is a really great boy, lower medium size (under 50 cm), not massive at all, in fact very manageable and adoptable for someone with a bit of patience and experience. He is so calm and quiet, he accepts treats from the hand and can be petted. His chance hopefully comes soon. Born 04.2018, in the ecarisaj since 04.2021


- Puppies - many of them, as always...

Outside kennel 1: A few puppies were adopted from outside kennel 1 (including the light brown girl with the yellow leash on, adopted by a very nice lady today), the 6 ones you can see in the kennel in the video are still looking for homes.

- Meri kennel 11 - Meri is such a cutie, a bit shy but with great potential. She can be petted nicely, she is docile, a bit stressed but not too much, she will recover quickly in a friendly safe environment. In the ecarisaj since 05.2021, born 05.2019. We are super happy that she will soon leave the ecarisaj and then a bit later move into a foster home, many thanks Annette E.!


- Alessio kennel 12 - Alessio has been in the ecarisaj since 05.2022, estimated to be born 05.2012 (he is probably not that old though...), about 54-55 cm. He came to the ecarisaj together with 2 lady friends, Inola has died meanwhile and Enola was moved to a different box. The separation was surely sad for all of them, he is such a great senior boy, just like his old friend Enola. He is a bit cautious when it comes to very close contact, but he eats treats from the hand, he is happy when you enter his kennel and he can be petted. The latter makes him a bit insecure, but he is not aggressive at all, just a bit shy. He would make a wonderful companion and pack member. He has some scars on his front leg and on his back, his life was probably not the easiest before he arrived, and is surely not great now. A very very sweet senior, who needs a warm loving place to spend his time.


- Mona kennel 37 (ex kennel 70) - Mona, Greta and Luka's sister, the latest "problem child" in the ecarisaj, was moved to kennel 37 after being treated for 2 weeks without success for her limping in her hind left leg. We will have to make an appointment in a clinic for her and see how she can be helped further, the limping is probably caused by something more serious since it has not responded to the treatment in the last 2 weeks She is a sweet shy girl, the underdog type, she can be petted nicely although she still lacks trust in people.


- Zara, kennel 49 - Zara has been in the ecarisaj since 02.2024, 6-7 years old, she is max. 45 cm, a very sensitive and gentle cute girl. It seems to me her eye looks a bit better than when she arrived. She can be touched gently, she eats treats from the hand but not always, she is just overwhelmed by the ecarisaj atmosphere, but she is surely recoverable quickly in a better place.


- Snowy kennel 138 - Yet another PERFECT dog in the ecarisaj! Sweet, people oriented, smart, gentle and nice, since 01.2024 in the ecarisaj, born approx. 2019, 53-54 cm. She is the kind of dog that leaves her chicken filet treat untouched because she prefers to use the time for cuddling and kissing the people who are visiting her. She cries if you pass by her kennel without saying hello. She is simply wonderful and less important - she is also super beautiful, such a waste for her to be in the ecarisaj She has white clean fur, a mystery how she can look like this in the ecarisaj I hope someone falls in love with her really fast, she belongs in a family.


- Macadamia kennel 139 - In the ecarisaj since 03.2022, born 03.2020, about 57cm, Macadamia is a shy cutie. When we are in the neighboring kennel, she is very happy and excites, and eats treats from the hand, wags her tail and is super friendly. When faced with close and direct human contact, she is shy and prefers to keep the distance. She can be petted but she is not relaxed and prefers to avoid it. She needs a but of time and patience, but she is a great girl and she would become friendly once she builds some trust. Fingers crossed for her!


- No time for walks today, we spent the majority of the time today with star Raven kennel 65, who had an unexpected visitor, a young man interested in adopting him. He will surely be a challenge for the young man, but he seems determined to give Raven a chance and we hope everything works out as planned, for now he is considered booked for adoption.

The third sibling, a boy, now named Rowdy is booked for Susan/Pfotengluck and will leave the ecarisaj on Friday:
