Elton is a boy; he's 3 years old, medium size - around 55 cm height and 20-22 kilos. He's a more independent dog, he's friendly with people and quite gentle but he's very dominant with other dogs. When we took the pictures the dogs had just received food, so all the time we were in his kennel he defended his food from the other dogs. He didn't mind it at all when Carmen played with his food and caressed him while he was eating, so apparently the problem is just with other dogs, not with people. He's clearly the dominant dog in that kennel but all the other dogs there are females and they are all very scared. He wasn't jumping for joy when we entered the kennel, actually he ignored us, but that might also be because of the food, he was more interested in food then in us. He's a beautiful dog but he would need an adopter that can handle a dominant dog and that doesn't have another male dog - I don't think he would get along with any male.
A short film with him:
