Please find attached the medical letter from Piano's vet check (abdominal ultrasound, heart ultrasound & checks) last week.
The summary diagnostic:
- moderate hepatomegaly
- splenomegaly with focal formation on the head of the organ
- prostatic cyst
- possible cystitis
He is gaining strength and feeling better, sometimes he feels like socializing with people and dogs, other times he prefers to have his peace and take naps in the sun.
Mara says his rectal tumors are not causing so many problems as before, he can defecate without issues. The vet who saw him also said there are good chances for them to continue to shrink. Performing biopsies might have an unwanted effect and cause the tumors to grow. The spleen tumor might pose problems but a surgery in his case would be very risky anyway and Mara's recommendation is to let him enjoy his remaining time without further surgery stress, as long as he eats and has a decent quality of life.
In short, Piano needs a quiet warm place to spend his remaining time. We hope someone will see him and decide to give him this gift.

Mara sagt, dass seine Rektumtumoren nicht mehr so viele Probleme bereiten wie zuvor, er könne ohne Probleme Stuhlgang machen. Der Tierarzt, der ihn untersuchte, sagte auch, dass die Chancen gut stünden, dass sie weiter schrumpfen. Die Durchführung von Biopsien kann unerwünschte Auswirkungen haben und zum Wachstum der Tumoren führen.
