„Her exact age is not fully certain, but based on dental development she appears to be approximately 7 weeks old. However, she is significantly underweight at only around 400 grams, reflecting severe malnutrition. For comparison, Ivy and Forest, are already close to 800 grams.

We've chosen the same date of birth as theirs: 04.05.2026

Galateea was rescued from the streets in critical condition and is currently hospitalized & quarantined. She is receiving treatment for a. eye infection, feline herpesvirus infection, ear mites, and malnutrition. At this stage, we still don't know whether her vision can be fully preserved.

Despite her fragile state, Galateea is a gentle and determined little kitten. She is demanding with her food and loves human attention and affection.

Once she has completed her medical treatment and is safe for her to stay with others cats, she will come home into foster care and begin her search for a forever family.

We are sharing her story early so that, when the time comes, we hope we will be lucky in finding her the most suitable adoptive home. We will be back with updates. If booked for adoption she will probably travel in September/October. Thank you.“

Ihr genaues Alter steht nicht zweifelsfrei fest, doch anhand der Zahnentwicklung zu urteilen, ist sie etwa 7 Wochen alt. Mit nur rund 400 Gramm ist sie jedoch deutlich untergewichtig, was auf eine schwere Mangelernährung hindeutet. Zum Vergleich: Ivy und Forest bringen bereits fast 800 Gramm auf die Waage.

Wir haben für sie dasselbe Geburtsdatum festgelegt wie für die anderen beiden: den 04.05.2026.

Galateea wurde in kritischem Zustand von der Straße gerettet und befindet sich derzeit in stationärer Behandlung sowie in Quarantäne. Sie wird wegen einer Augenentzündung, einer Infektion mit dem felinen Herpesvirus, Ohrmilben und Mangelernährung behandelt. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt wissen wir noch nicht, ob ihr Sehvermögen vollständig erhalten bleiben kann.

Trotz ihres geschwächten Zustands ist Galateea ein sanftes und zugleich willensstarkes kleines Kätzchen. Sie ist sehr wählerisch beim Fressen und liebt die Zuwendung und Zuneigung von Menschen.

Sobald ihre medizinische Behandlung abgeschlossen ist und sie gefahrlos mit anderen Katzen zusammenleben kann, kommt sie auf eine Pflegestelle und beginnt die Suche nach ihrem endgültigen Zuhause.

Wir teilen ihre Geschichte schon jetzt, in der Hoffnung, zu gegebener Zeit das perfekte Zuhause für sie zu finden. Wir werden über weitere Fortschritte berichten. Nach erfolgreicher Vermittlung wird sie voraussichtlich im September oder Oktober die Reise in ihr neues Heim antreten. Vielen Dank.

Galateea is feeling great, has been vaccinated and can now stay and play together with Ivy and Forest.

Now that she has recovered, her true kitten personality shines every single day. She is playful, adventurous, and the perfect mix of sweetness, curiosity, and kitten energy. She loves discovering everything around her, always looking for something new to investigate. Toys, cardboard boxes, climbing opportunities…or even a crumpled piece of paper, everything becomes part of her next adventure.

Whether she's chasing toys, climbing cat trees, or inventing her own games, she approaches life with endless enthusiasm.

Despite everything she went through during her first weeks of life, she has remained incredibly trusting toward people. She enjoys being close to her humans, happily follows them around the house, and quickly settles in wherever the action is. When playtime is over, she transforms into a little cuddle bug who enjoys gentle pets and curling up nearby for a nap.

She is confident without being demanding and independent without being distant. Galateea adapts well to new situations and has a cheerful personality that brightens every room she enters. Like any young kitten, she still has plenty of playful zoomies, but she also knows how to relax and simply enjoy being part of the family.

She is looking for a home that will appreciate both her playful spirit and the incredible journey that brought her here. After such a difficult start in life, she deserves nothing less than a lifetime of love, safety, and happiness.

We would love to find a home where there is already another cat or where she can go together with one of her foster siblings (Findus/Fiona/Filou or Jade).

lso, a little mystery is unfolding.. When Galateea arrived, she looked like an ordinary black kitten. But as she grows, more and more white hairs are appearing throughout her black coat, creating delicate silver stripes and a unique pattern that changes every week. Who knows—she may end up looking like a tiny "Transylvanian cat", Romania's famous naturally occurring breed known for its beautiful reverse-point coat. Whatever her final look, one thing is certain: she's becoming more stunning every single day.
