Hello,
I want to present you anothe one of our new foster cats available for adoption - LYRA

Whiskers, Warmth, and a Whole Lot of Love
Gender Female
Date of birth 01.10.2024
In our care since: 02.04.2025
History
Lyra's story began in a way no kitten should experience — abandoned with her six tiny brothers in the yard of an apartment building, left to fend for themselves. They were weak, painfully thin, covered in fleas and ticks, and had clearly endured harsh conditions. The smell alone told us they'd likely been living in filth. Thankfully, a kind-hearted friend found them and got them to safety. After receiving medical care and lots of love at our vet clinic, Lyra came into our foster care — and slowly began to blossom.
PS: her brothers are also available for adoption, if somebody is looking for a young male.
Behaviour Around Children
No experience yet. Due to her sensitivity, she’d do best in a home where interactions can be calm and respectful.
House-manners
Lyra uses the litter box perfectly and enjoys a clean, quiet space.
Behaviour Around Other Animals
She’s not yet ready to be friends with dogs or cats — their energy is too much for her fragile heart right now — but with time, she may come around. She stays around them, is not aggresive, she just doesn't want interactions. For now, she thrives in calm company and truly bonds with humans who move slowly, speak softly, and let her take the lead.
She currently refuse to play with our 2 boys, only stays close to them when they are chilling.
Personality
Lyra is a gentle, sensitive girl with a calm spirit. She takes her time learning to trust the world around her, and she appreciates a peaceful environment. Quick movements or loud noises still make her a little uneasy, but once she feels safe, her true sweetness shines through. She loves curling up in your lap in a sunbeam, purring quietly while being petted.
Daily Routine
Lyra enjoys a predictable rhythm: breakfast, followed by long naps in sunny spots, short exploration walks around the home, and gentle cuddles in the evening. She loves lounging somewhere soft where she can watch the world quietly go by. She sleeps all night with us in the bedroom, on her safe spot and doesn't wake us up.
What Makes Her Happy?
Gentle cuddles and being held quietly
Warm laps in the sunlight
Soft blankets and calm voices
What Makes Her Unhappy/Nervous?
Loud voices, sudden movements, and chaotic environments
Dogs and overly curious or boisterous cats
Other Quirks
She makes biscuits in the air while purring
Energy Rating (1 = very high; 5 = very low)
2
She has short bursts of playfulness, but mostly enjoys lounging and gentle affection. Maybe this will change with time, taking into consideration that she is a young cat.
Size
