Edith ist eine junge Mutterhündin, 2 Jahre alt, untere mittlere Größe, sehr schüchtern und verängstigt- Daher konnte ich keine Bilder machen. Sie hat sich immer versteckt, wenn ich mich genähert habe. Die Welpen sind 5-6 Wochen alt und sehr nett. Das erste Einzelfoto ist von dem Schüchternsten, da kenne ich das Geschlecht nicht. Die nächsten beiden Einzelbilder zeigen Buben und das letzte Bild ein Mädel.

Die Welpen, es sind drei Buben und ein Mädel, wachsen gut heran. Sie sind immer noch etwas schüchtern. Ich kann sie streicheln, wenn sie aufs Fressen konzentriert sind, aber ausserhalb solcher Momente halten sie Abstand- außer dem Braunen. Ich hoffe, dass das derzeit schlechte Wetter in Cluj ihnen nicht schadet. Die Mutter ist immer noch verängstigt und versteckt sich, auch wenn ich es mit leckerem Futter versuche- es ist kaum möglich sie aufs Bild zu kriegen. ...

Amy aus der Quarantäne wurde dazu gesetzt. Mama Edith ist nicht mehr in dem Zwinger.

Von den beiden furchtsamen Hündinnen Iris und Edith sind nun noch 5 Welpen in Aussenzwinger 1, alles Rüden. Der schwarzweiße Bub ist reserviert und wird Cluj adoptiert. Es bleiben zwei größere Buben (von Iris) und zwei kleinere Buben (von Edith). Die beiden von Edith sind schüchtern und verstecken sich, wenn möglich- besonders der Kleine mit dem teils braunen Fell. Sie werden beim Futter von den beiden größeren Welpen von Iris dominiert. Insgesammt wirken sie nicht wie gesunde, verspielte Welpen. Wir hoffen auf einen glücklichen Stern für sie.

We have some very bad news - from the 3 puppies left in the pound from Edith the girl and one of the boys (the black one) died suddenly yesterday and the day before - they will never get a name or a home of their own, their life ended before it even started. There were not really severe symptoms for what happened - secretions of the nose and sometimes cough, the puppies received treatment in the pound for several days, but probably the canine kennel cough was too difficult to cope with for the little ones. Our coleague Carmen took out the surviving boy and brought him to a vet clinic, he would have most likely died if he were left into the pound. He is now receiving treatment and being taking good care of but we have no solutions for him, so we are looking URGENTLY FOR A FOSTER OR ADOPTER. We're in a pretty desperate situation, we expect more puppies will get sick and there are 2 more emergencies that were taken out of the pound and we didn't manage to pay the operation for them yet - Levin, the dog with the thorned lip and Tanja, the dog with the sticker tumour. The costs for all of these amount to more the 700 lei - 160 euros, it's too much for our limited resources.
